On March 14, 2025, 110 enthusiastic students from the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS) department of Prathyusha Engineering College (PEC), accompanied by four faculty members, visited Askan Technologies for an Industrial Visit to gain insights into the IT industry and AI-driven innovations.

A Glimpse into Prathyusha Engineering College (PEC)

Prathyusha Engineering College, popularly known as PEC, is a self-financed Telugu Minority Institution managed by Prathyusha Educational Trust, Chennai. Approved by AICTE and affiliated with Anna University, the institution has been accredited by NBA and holds an ISO certification. With a commitment to delivering quality technical education, PEC has been autonomous since 2023 and provides a state-of-the-art learning environment for students.

An Engaging Session on Bridging Knowledge and Innovation

The Industrial Visit began with an insightful session on “Innovating the Future: A Bridge Between Knowledge and IT”, conducted by our Industry Pioneer, Ms. Meenakshi Devi, Human Resource Manager. The session was highly interactive and engaging, as students, eager to explore IT career opportunities, actively participated in discussions. Their curiosity and enthusiasm were evident as they raised thought-provoking questions about the industry’s latest trends and innovations.

An Expert in Language & Communication

A special mention goes to Mr. N. Venkatesh, Assistant Professor of English at Prathyusha Engineering College, who is a distinguished educator specializing in English Language and Literature. With expertise in teaching the American accent, he has been recognized as a three-time Best English Trainer award winner in Tamil Nadu. His dedication to linguistic excellence made this industrial visit even more insightful, as he actively engaged with Askan Technologies on refining American English accents for IT professionals. Askan was delighted to support him in this area, exchanging valuable insights on accent training and professional communication, which are crucial in the global IT landscape.

A Tour into the Heart of IT

Following the session, students and faculty embarked on an IT tour of Askan Technologies to witness the real-world workings of an IT company. Seeing our AI-driven solutions and technology in action left the students amazed, prompting a wave of questions, especially related to AI, an area that aligns with their academic background. Our team was delighted to address their inquiries, making the experience both educational and inspiring.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the visit was when the faculty members personally reached out after reaching the college safely. Their thoughtful gesture showcased the strong connection and engagement fostered during the IV, proving that the impact of the visit extended far beyond the walls of Askan Technologies.
